Abstract

The study investigates livelihood impacts of urban agricultural practices in Minna, Nigeria. Using stratified sampling with 384 urban farmers, findings reveal that urban farming reduces unemployment, contributes to livelihood security, reduces food insecurity, and promotes urban and environmental sustainability. However, lack of credit facility access and inadequate markets hinder livelihood strategy expansion. The study recommends financial empowerment and capacity building programs.
